The AOA Annual Report provides an overview of the American Osteopathic Association’s efforts during the past year to advance osteopathic advocacy, education, training, research, public health initiatives and board certification.
During the 2021-22 fiscal year, the AOA worked to advance the distinctive practice of osteopathic medicine through programs and services focused on increasing influence and strengthening osteopathic pride. We achieved significant growth in recognition through a series of ambassadorship, branding and advocacy activities launched throughout the year, including the debut of the #DOProud osteopathic pride campaign and a consumer brand campaign aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of osteopathic medicine.
We also launched an initiative centered around building the future of our profession, introducing new toolkits and services for DOs and osteopathic medical students. Exciting collaborations were created to provide future DOs with the resources, connections and support they need to ensure success in their future careers.
